Coudersport-

.Several area residents have been charged with harassment and related offenses for recent incidents. Kane-based state police have cited 39 year old Timothy Burkett of Gifford with harassment and 42 year Edward Burkett of Turtlepoint with harassment for an incident allegedly taking place last night on the shoulder of Route 346 in Keating Township. Authorities say Edward Burkett caused minor dents in the trunk of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am owned by Jesse Hewitt of Cyclone by pounding it with his fists and that Timothy missed when he threw a large rock at the car, but alarmed and threatened Hewitt by the action. All three Emporium residents involved in a fight back on May 1 at the Bucktail Rod and Gun Club in Portage Township, Cameron County have been cited for harassment. Emporium-based state police say 24 year old David Hulick and 25 year old Ryan Snyder struck each other during an argument and that 43 year old Nancy Parish jumped in and slapped Snyder on the face. And, Tanya McCurley of Emporium  is accused of hitting Bradley Hause during a disagreement last night at his home on the Hunts Run Road in Lumber Township.

.State Representative Martin Causer is seeking information about veterans of the Korean War living in the 67^th District to honor them for their service to the country.  Rep. Causer is requesting that veterans contact him at his Bradford Office at (814) 362-4400 with their name, address, phone number, branch of service and rank.  All veterans who contact Rep. Causer’s office will be invited to join in a special recognition ceremony, where they will be honored with certificates and medals in appreciation for their service.
